Snap Shots is a service that allows you to show onscreen previews of any external websites that you link to online. This allows your users to have a preview of where they are about to go before actually clicking the link.
By no means a new plugin, I haven’t installed it on any of my sites previously until now. Honestly I don’t believe that I’m going to keep it installed here yet but I did want to give it a try, my only request would be if you could select which links show a preview so it’s not an all or nothing scenario. Many of my posts have quite a few outgoing links and usually there are only one or two links per post that I actually would like to have this preview included on. I am positive that I’m going to use this on one of my future projects but I really wanted to test this out ahead of time.
You can download the plugin directly from the Wordpress Plugin page. Just be sure to create an account on Snap to fully use the plugin once it is installed. I’m going to let it run for a bit to see what features I can customize with it. For reviews and news sites this one is a winner.
