If you’ve been thinking about picking up ‘Best Horror Shorts 2015‘ then you sadly only have a couple of days to do so. It was announced yesterday that Disquieted Dreams Press is going to be going out of business. This collection was released on 1/14/16 and edited by Rebecca Carter. It contains my short story “A Flash Of Light” which is also still available in the anthology ‘The Dead Walk.’

If you’re looking to pick up a copy of the story it won’t be going anywhere in the foreseeable future but it really depends if you want to own it in an all-zombie anthology or a best-of anthology!

I still think it was pretty damn awesome to be included in a Best Of collection!

I know this doesn’t give much time to snag a copy of the direction but I just found this out myself last night. At this time it is still available at Amazon.

The details on the press closing can be found here:

It is with a very heavy heart that I announce Disquieted Dreams Press is closed, as of 2/5/2017. This decision was not made lightly, however due to a variety of factors I cannot continue to run the press. All of our current releases will stay active for a short amount of time, however I will be releasing reprint rights back to the writers immediately. An email regarding this will go out soon. There are no outstanding bonuses at this time and because promotion will end effective immediately I do not see there being any in the future,

In October of 2016 I had a car wreck. It was not as serious as it could have been but I am still in pain. This pushed back a lot of the schedule and interfered with my ability to promote. My luck has only gotten worse since then and many things have come up that have made this press the last thing on my mind. That is not fair to the writers we exist to support. The one great thing that has happened in the last year is that I just started a new job. This job is very close to a dream job for me, however it will make it hard for me to support the press further as well.

I am open to offers on the press. I do not want much as far as money, just enough to transfer the domain and to ensure everything is legally the new owners. If you are interested please reach out to contact@disquieteddreams.com
